GUE DPV 1 DIVER

Diving is about discovering new underwater worlds, and with an Underwater Scooter (Diver Propulsion Vehicle - DPV), the exploration area can be extended even further. Riding a scooter is not only fun but also allows divers to cover larger distances with less effort, while also carrying additional equipment.

The GUE DPV Level 1 Course is designed to provide divers with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely use underwater scooters (DPVs) in open water.

This course is a must for anyone who wants to use a powerful and efficient tool to cover greater distances or transport more equipment with less effort.

Prerequisites and Duration

Participants of the GUE DPV Level 1 Course must:

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Be physically and mentally fit.
• Be a non-smoker.
• Know how to swim.
• Obtain written approval from a doctor for taking prescription medications (except contraceptives) or for any medical condition that could pose a risk while diving.
• Have completed the GUE Recreational Diver Level 1 course or the GUE Fundamentals course.
• Have at least 75 non-training dives, including 25 dives beyond GUE certification.

Course Structure

The Diver Propulsion Vehicle Level 1 course is typically conducted over three days, including:

• At least five dives.
• At least 24 hours of instruction, including theory, land exercises, and practical dives.
